Funding Your Appointment

Fee structure

50-minute session: $260 (business hours)

50-minute session: $300 (after hours)

Please note: After-hours appointments have very limited availability and are not available to NDIS plan-managed clients.

Adult ADHD assessments are coming soon. Check back here in early 2024!

NDIS

Individuals wanting to use their NDIS funding may only do so if they are “self-managed” or “plan-managed”. Unfortunately, those who are NDIS agency-managed cannot use their funding towards their fees. For those who are plan-managed, invoices will be sent directly to your plan manager at the completion of each appointment. If you are self-managed, the fee is payable at the completion of your appointment and the receipt will be sent directly to you.

Medicare

For those with a Mental Health Care Plan (see below for information), Medicare will provide you with a rebate of $136.35. The out-of-pocket fee is thereby reduced to $123.65 during business hours or $163.65 for after-hours appointments. The fee must be paid in full at the completion of each appointment, after which I send your claim to Medicare and your rebate will be processed. You will also receive a copy of your receipt.

Private health funds

If you have private health insurance, some of your appointment costs may be covered. The gap (i.e., the remaining fee after your private health insurance) will vary depending on the health fund provider and level of cover. Please check with your health fund to determine whether you are entitled to any rebate (and if so, how much) for psychology services. The fee must be paid in full at the completion of each appointment, and you will receive a copy of your receipt that you can pass on to your private health fund.

Please note: You are only able to use ONE form of assistance towards your appointment costs (i.e., Medicare OR private health // Medicare OR NDIS).

Therefore, I generally recommend that if you have more than one as an option, use the one with the higher rebate.

No cover

If you do not have any of the above, you are still more than welcome to see me — you will just pay the full fee and will not receive any form of rebate. You will need to pay the full fee at the completion of your appointment, and I will email you a receipt for your records.

Cancellation Policy

Need to reschedule or cancel your appointment?

While I understand that life does not always run to plan, and things pop up (oh boy do I get it!), I do ask you to keep in mind that when we make an appointment, I reserve that time aside, totally dedicated to you.

Therefore, should you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, I ask that you provide at least 48 hours’ notice. Without this notice, you lose your time, I lose my time (and the time I spent planning and curating your appointment), and the clients waiting on my waiting list lose out on a much-needed chance for that time.

For this reason, the following cancellation policy is in place.

A $50 fee will be charged for a cancellation with less than 48 hours’ notice. The full fee will be charged for cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice and for any appointment that has been missed with no notice (non-attendance).

Referral Information

Self-referral

You do not need a doctor’s/health professional’s referral to see a psychologist. You can simply decide it is something you’d like to access and reach out – what we would call, self-referral.

Medicare’s ‘Better Access’ scheme

To access appointments as part of a Mental Health Care Plan (where you are allowed up to 10 visits per year partially covered by Medicare) you will need to speak with your general practitioner or psychiatrist.

They can provide you with a referral and Mental Health Care Plan, which you/your provider need to email to me at the time of booking or prior to your appointment. Without doing this, you will not be able to access your rebate.
